Elaine Constantine

Elaine Constantine has been a big influence in my work when I have showed emotion in my photos.
She has such a way of capturing the moment and making you feel like your there experiencing what's going on. They are action shots and capturing the image at the perfect time has made the emotions shown, shine out to anyone admiring her work. She is an amazing photographer with a brilliant talent.

Wedding

These images are a small part of my wedding series
Doing photography for a wedding was very different from any photography genre I had tried before and it was a amazing experience.
Having the opportunity to show so much emotion and love through images is a hard task but I'm proud of my first experiment.
I was strongly influenced by Elaine Constantine with the way she shows emotion through facial expressions and poses. Its so fascinating that the slightest expression that's captured has such a massive impact.

Tim Walker

Tim Walkers work i find amazing!
He is probably one of my favourite fashion photographers. How creative he is drives me to want to be like that. When looking at his work and going to his exhibition I feel like I am in a unrealistic world. His childlike imagination astounds me the way he plays with surrealism is so facinating. The locations he uses really compliment his narrative, which is always so strong.

photographic Interests

Photographic Interests

In my photographs my main objective is to show colour and emotion in my work. I love showing different textures, the way in my images I would like people to imagine to know what it would feel like, making my photos a reality, such as photographers like Tim Walker, how he makes his magical photos feel like it could be real. I love having different shades of light in my work, if you look at my work you will be able to tell I like bright vibrant tones of colour but then sometimes I do appreciate a classic black and white style. What I love about photography is being able to catch beauty in that moment, being able to have physical proof of a beautiful scene.
I would very much enjoy to develop my ideas with with the strong use of colour. To be able to make my work more solid so people know what influences my work.

William Eggleston

William Eggleston's work.
This American Photographer is well known for his use of colour. I admire how he uses colour in his ordinary day to day images. He inspired me when i was doing my location scouting for a project, i took shots of ordinary palaces to other people but interesting to me. He takes the dull and boring and makes it exciting with his over powering view of colour.

Behind the scenes

This is my Southend behind the scenes series.
I took these images at Southend- Sea- Front. Which is well known for tourism and the seaside. These images show the realistic appearance. There is a lot of irony in these images. The second image saying 'FunLand' when looking at this building it looks anything but fun, a run down building that will not appear to children who it was aimed at.
I was strongly influenced by William Eggleston and how he makes things that you would never notice on a daily basis look so interesting.

Deadpan

My Deadpan Series.
I experimented with Deadpan in college.
I enjoyed the idea of being able to strip back any personalities and emotions from a photo, which is very different to what I'm used to, as I always love showing emotion in my work.
It put me out of my comfort zone but i think i benefited a lot from it, it helped me explore different sides of photography.

Autumn Colours

These images are from my Autumn series.
I wanted to show all the different colours which Autumn brings with the strong greens, oranges and browns.
The second image is my favourite, I love how the light is coming in from the left and shinning on the frost coated grass. The sun peepinig through the trees and lighting up the forest makes this image magical. The image makes me feel like im looking at a fairy tale book. Capturing this much beauty is what I strive to achieve.

Experimental Fireworks

This is my Experimental Firework series.
My main aim for this was to play around with the lighting and also wanting to show fireworks in a different kind of way.
Instead of taking the image as the firework was at it's prime, I took the image after instead which caught a different effect to what others may capture.
Where certain images have vibrant colours, they dont steal away the attention of the more subtle images, they are still very powerful.

Abstract Snow Series

This my snow series.
All of these images i have wanted to show the connection between the weather and nature.
I wanted to convey alot of emotion in these photos, they give of the sense of being secluded. Snow is like a big white blanket that covers the worst of areas and even makes them look beautiful, I wanted to capture this moment.
